Pictured Rocks Elopement in Munising, MI
Shooting photos of any kind at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is any photographers dream. Pictured Rocks is hugely famous for it's incredible glacier-carved shoreline of every color nestled onto the shoreline of Lake Superior. It has miles and miles of extensive backpacking trails, beautiful rock formations, and waterfalls. Literally everything that would be an amazing wilderness trek hahah. So it's no surprise that Stacey & Mike chose this spot to explore for their pre-wedding hike before wrapping up the day with an intimate wedding on Marquette's black rocks. The whole day was SO much fun. It was shockingly hot for May weather, but these two smiled and laughed (and taught me a million movie facts) the entire day! Stacey & Mike rented an awesome local Air BnB to stay at with some of their closest friends before starting their Pictured Rocks elopement adventure. They packed all of their hiking necessities - their favorite snacks, water, bug spray, and their favorite brews 🤙 Munising is a small town but has tons of options like waterfront Air BnBs, hotels, and campgrounds for your visit!
Before their ceremony, we took a break for photos at one of their favorite beaches in the park. They were able to hang around with some music, beer, and try to cool down a bit before our trek back! Pictured Rocks has a bunch of really awesome beaches you can add to your hike itinerary!
After our hike back, we RACED to Marquette for their ceremony! They eloped at the black rocks right as the sun was setting and it was insanely beautiful. It was the perfect beautiful & private end to their intimate day!
t was just such an honor to have been able to be a part of such a beautiful & intimate wedding day, and I know I will be obsessing over this day for a very long time. Congratulations Stacey & Mike!!
