Michigan is such a beautiful and underrated state, but Michigan Air Bnbs are becoming a popular destination! Nowadays they are busier than ever! Back in 2020 many couples started choosing to scrap their large wedding plans and focus on more intimate celebrations, and one thing I helped many of my couples do is to plan their elopement at an AirBnb.
Choosing to have a Michigan Airbnb elopement opens up so many opportunities. There are so many rental homes all over the place that it’s so easy to find a spot that fits your vibe, and is close to adventures and locations you would want to incorporate into your elopement day! It’s an incredible way to have a day focused on your love for each other in an area that speaks to you, and keeping that focus on you having the best experience ever!
Being a photographer who specializes in more intimate gatherings, I truly believe that just because your day is going to be more intimate than a traditional wedding doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve just as much attention and won’t be just as special! And you deserve to celebrate your love somewhere beautiful and intentional!! This ethereal home is located near the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula and can accommodate up to 4 guests. It’s on a secluded 13 acres and 1/2 mile of shoreline on Lake Medora, and combines stunning natural and architectural beauty! There are endless photo possibilities here, with miles of trails, rocky shorelines, and of course a beautiful place to stay!
If you want something beautiful, private, unique, and centrally located – this is perfect. This log cabin features cozy cottage decor, a clawfoot tub, patio, bonfire pit, and more. It can accommodate 2 people, so perfect for a just-us elopement. It truly feels like your own private mountain vista, and at only 25 minutes away from downtown Marquette, it’s in an amazing location!
The True North Cabin is located right on Lake Superior in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. It’s a 2 acre private retreat, in a renovated cabin in the quiet woods. It can accommodate up to 4 people and would be a beautiful place to stay for your elopement!

The neighborhood has public beach access, as well as access to a local park. It’s a short walk to downtown. It’s also nearby one of Michigan’s coolest rock formations – Turnip rock!

This house is insanely gorgeous. It has a glass wall (imagine the photos omg) and beautiful mid century decor. It’s 5 minutes from a boat launch, and is in the historic village of Horton Bay – which is near Petoskey, Boyne City, and Charlevoix. It’s a 3 bedroom space that can accommodate 6 guests!
Nestled in the dune grass with a 270 degree view of Grand Traverse Bay is this beautiful modern home. It’s a vacation home for 4 people on a secluded, private site in Northport on the Leelanau Peninsula. It’s a beautiful balance of an incredible place to stay as well as being immersed in nature!
Bayshore Boathaus is a home designed by a renowned local architect to look like the inside of a ship! It’s a waterfront home located right off of M22 on West Bay. It has waterfront access, and is directly between Traverse City and Suttons Bay right in wine country! It can accommodate up to 5 guests.
