It’s always the awkward time of year that makes

It’s always the awkward time of year that makes me feel so antsy. I don’t know if it’s because I miss ski season (😢) or because I’m just so freaking excited for summer, but March always makes me crave an adventure and feel ready to embrace some changes.

There are some REALLY exciting things coming for me & my business this year, so until then I’ll be over here biding my time dreaming of upcoming adventures with you all 🤍

We all know someone who has had a big Mackinac Island wedding, but have you ever thought of the island for an elopement?? Mackinac has so much more than just big venues and is filled with so many beautiful trails and views that are SO perfect for an intimate wedding or elopement. This faux-spring weather has me feeling ready for warm weather (and a rum runner!) so today on my blog I made a list of 10 Mackinac Island activities that would be amazing to incorporate into an island elopement! There’s just something about being able to be a part of multiple amazing moments in couples lives that seriously just makes my heart explode. I still remember these two’s engagement session where we romped around a snowy beach on Lake Michigan, and now they are parents to the most precious baby girl. 🥹 this ice storm is just keeping me in my feels all day #mushymondays

Sometimes the best moments are in the details ✨Which is something I’ve also been reminding myself this season.

Slow season is usually a time I spend continuing to work - be that on website revamping, planning, consulting, whatever - but this is the first off season I’ve been trying to work on my own personal joy & making time for the things I haven’t made time for in the past. And it’s been really, really wonderful. Which duh sounds obvious I know but sometimes it’s so easy to get lost in the hustle it’s great to remind myself that I’m a person outside of my work too!

I’ve been romanticizing my life daily with lots of new cooking, house remodeling, Pilates, spending time with Todd & Denver, seeing friends as often as possible, and truly trying to take in and appreciate every moment. It’s led to such a happy place.

Focusing on being grateful & positive & present has been so healing, and having this time is only getting me even more excited for all of the time I get to spend with you all soon 🤍

So I’ll leave this novel with one of my favorite lines in a song and what was originally going to be a short and sweet caption for a very sweet photo - “I was thinking about who you are, your delicate point of view” ✨🌿

Sometimes some of the BEST things can come out of spontaneity and diverting from plans. When we showed up to our original shoot location idea to find the road closed 2.5 hours before sunset, I decided to bounce us around to some of the less-traveled spots around Munising - and I will be forever grateful that these two trusted me and that we ended up in the most MAGICAL spots (with snow up to our thighs hahaha). I LOVE SNOWY SHOOTS and it truly just doesn’t get better than days like this 💛✨

2022 was amazing year. Each year of course comes with its bliss and its hardships, and this year definitely had its share of both, but being able to have such amazing people as clients always feels like a ray of sunshine. Also, I got married to my best friend and had the best summer ever - idk if I’ll ever top that 🤪 (I still have to post those photos and I will ASAP)
